New Feature: Schedule by Appointment Type

The new scheduling feature allows you to customize your office scheduling even more than before. You can create doctor schedules and appointment type schedules. For instance, if you only allow x-ray appointments to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, that customization is now possible!

How to Enable & Setup Appointment Type Scheduling

The steps are also listed below.

Activating the NEW Scheduling Feature

**if you joined after 1/15/19 this will automatically be enabled and you can skip to the next section.

  1. Log in to your SKED Admin.
  2. In the right ellipse menu (the three dots in top right), choose the SETTING option.
  3. Find the Appointment Type Schedules (Beta) section and check the box to ENABLE.*
  4. Then click SAVE button.

You should now have a new option on the LEFT-hand side of your SKED Admin called Schedule!

*Important note: when you activate this feature, the professional hours are no longer referenced, you can create a schedule for a doctor, exam room, type of appointment, etc. They are all entered the same way.

Creating New Schedules

  1. Create a schedule by entering a Name in the new schedule box.
  2. Click the ADD button.
  3. Click and drag the appointment types that you want into the new schedule.
  4. Enter the appointments per minute.
  5. Click the SAVE button.

Entering the Hours for the Schedule

  1. Click the SET HOURS button.
  2. Set the hours you want for the schedule or use the blue link “Set to Current Office Hours” to populate the hours to be the same as the Office Hours.
  3. The time entries Max amount of appointments will automatically default to what you entered for the appointments per minute, but you can further customize your schedule by entering a different Max amount for an entry.
  4. Click the SAVE button.

You are all set!

Changing Hours to a Schedule

  1. Click the SET HOURS button.
  2. Change the new hours and/or max amount of appointments that you want for the schedule or use the blue link “Set to Current Office Hours“ to populate the hours to be the same as the Office Hours.
  3. If you want to make the change immediately, select the START NOW button. If you want it to happen in the future, select the START LATER button and enter the date that you want and then the OK button.
  4. Click the SAVE button.

Viewing Future Hours and How to Make Changes to Them

  1. Click the SET HOURS button. You will see the Current hours.
  2. At the top of the pop-up window, you should see the date that you set the new hours to occur. Click the blue “edit” link.
  3. If you want to make changes you can. If you decide the new hours are no longer needed, you can use the X button to remove the date.
  4. Click the SAVE button.
