Setting up Appointment Types
In your SKED admin, you will be able to manage appointment types under the Professionals tab. To make edits to an appointment type select the appointment and a then dialogue box will pop up. Use the dialogue box to make any changes to a specific appointment type. Below are the different categories for appointment types.
The Internal Name is the code that is pulled from your EHR system and does not change unless it is changed in your EHR system.
The Display Name is what will show up in the app and in messages. You can change the display name so that PMs know what type of appointment they have.
The Duration represents how long the appointment lasts. This tells SKED how many time slots to block off.
The Closing Limit prevents appointments from being scheduled right at closing. You can set a limit to be 15, 20, 30, etc. minutes before your office closes.
You can also decide if you would like PMs to be able to Cancel or Reschedule their appointments in the app by checking the boxes to enable these features or leaving them unchecked.
The Can See option is a way of deciding whether or not you want to show certain appointments in the app. These are often useful if you have non appointment codes, such as office calls or office to-do’s.
The last section allows you to customize the colors in your SKED calendar by selecting the box next to the word Color.
